Clear Brook Farm Winter CSA 2009

2009 will be our second season offering shares in the Clear Brook Farm Winter Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) program. Last year was such a great success that we hope to offer 200 shares this year. The Winter CSA will have a total of 10 pick-up weeks, running from mid-October through December. Clear Brook Farm offers Thursday pick-ups at the Farm and Saturday pick-ups both at the Farm and at Al DucciÕs in Manchester for our Northshire members.

The Clear Brook Farm Winter CSA has two types of shares. The first is our "Clear Brook" share featuring Clear Brook Farm grown produce. The second is the "Localvore"Ó share. This share includes all the Clear Brook Farm produce plus many localvore (within 150 mile radius) food items that we regularly stock at the farm stand during our regular season.

Clear Brook Share will include: arugula, lettuce, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, celeriac, chard, kale, collards, spinach, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, parsley, cilantro, winter squash, potatoes, onions, garlic, radish, carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, popcorn, dried beans and more!!

The Localvore Share includes everything in the Clear Brook Share plus ten to fifteen dollars worth of other local offerings such as Cornell Farm eggs, Butterworks Farm yogurt, Red Hen bread, Baba a Louis bread, Berle Farm and other cheeses, maple syrup, honey, Vermont tofu, Vermont grown and milled flour, Hawthorne Valley Farm gingered carrots and saurkraut, Katie M's jams, Vermont grown cranberries and more!
